A Culinary Revamp with Chef Jan Cleusters

At Fushifaru Maldives, we are thrilled to announce a culinary partnership that is set to redefine dining on our exquisite island. Internationally acclaimed celebrity chef, Jan Cleusters, has graced us with his culinary expertise, and we can't wait to unveil the magic he's set to create at our fine-dining Restaurant, Raakani.

With a career marked by innovation and a passion for blending diverse flavours, Chef Cleusters is set to take Raakani to new heights. Chef Jan Cleusters brings his innovative culinary vision to us, where he will curate an entirely new menu while elevating the existing fine dining options. The exciting new menu includes smoked salmon, grass-fed beef striploin and a poached lobster medallion.

The food aficionado started cooking at the age of four and after obtaining his high school diploma, he completed an apprenticeship in the Michelin-starred cuisine, since then he has won numerous international awards at the New York Festival, the Indie Awards, as well as at One Show, ADC and D&AD. Known for his passion for blending local flavours with international techniques, Chef Cleusters is set to redefine the gastronomic experience at Raakani.
